Editor:
My family and I live on a busy arterial street and a crosswalk used to terminate in our driveway.
Five years ago, our street was identified in Piedmont’s Safer Streets Plan as a location where pedestrian and vehicle safety could be improved. About two years ago, funding became available to make these significant improvements in our neighborhood possible.
These changes have made our street so much safer now for pedestrians and cars alike. They were not done in isolation; the City is implementing pedestrian and road safety projects around Piedmont.
We support Measure GG in the hope that the generated revenue can keep our essential services strong and continue to address other important traffic and pedestrian safety projects around town.
We encourage others to support Measure GG.
